1. This is a Dreamworks Animation movie.
2. The tape had a budget of 80 million dollars.
3. In the movie you never get to mention it, but the name of Spirit's mother is "Hope."
4. The animation team received an intensive course on equine anatomy.
5. One of the big complications for this movie is that they wanted to give it a realistic touch. In the sense that we do not see the animals talking.
6. To express better the emotions of the horses, the animators took the artistic license to add a definite eyebrow and accentuate the white of their sclera.
7. The makers of the film visited several areas of the West United States, to see places that could be used as inspiration for the film.
8. Dreamworks sent those in charge of sound editing, who visited several stables, to record all kinds of sound expressions. In such a way, that what we hear on the tape, are real horses.
9. The incredible soundtrack was made by composer Hans Zimmer. The interpreter of the songs, in the original version, was Bryan Adams. In Latin America it was sung by Erik Rubin. And in Spain by the singer RaĂşl.

11. The story was written by John Fusco. This screenwriter is known for his work in the western genres.
